Hi everyone.
As you can tell from the title I'm new to this site so please be patient with me as I sort out the features available and actually manage to load something of interest to others.
In the meantime I thought I'd tell you a little something about myself and then I won't be some anonymous stranger. My name is Susan Adey and I live in the southern suburbs of Adelaide. I am an amateur photographer that is keen to improve and would truly love to spend more time taking photos than life unfortunately provides me. My favourite subjects are landscapes and nature but I also love colour. So you can probably imagine, I'm in seventh heaven if I can combine all three into one shot.
Recently I've been playing with macro images after having seen some absolutely wonderful images taken by photographers far better than me. Those with insects particularly interest me and I've learned how difficult they can be to get when the DOF is so narrow and the subject just won't remain in one spot for long. Goodness knows how many shots I have taken and all I have to show for it is one insect macro that is good enough to show others but is still not as good as the images that I have seen. More practice is obviously required.
Oh and I guess I'd better admit to being a Nikon user. I have been using a Nikon D70s for the last 3-4 years and have just progressed to a Nikon D300 which I'm still getting used to. Prior to entering the digital world I used a Nikon F301 camera which was given to me by my husband when he told me that I got better photos from it than he ever could.
All my current work can be viewed on my RedBubble account at susanadey.redbubble.com.
So for now this is probably enough about me, so why not drop me a line and introduce yourself.
Cheers
Sue
