I shoot predominantly shoot motor sport and use the 120 - 300 2.8 (non IS) and love it.
Currently use it almost always with the 1.4 on a D300s so with the crop sensor is effectively 200+ - 500+

Nikkor vs. Sigma lenses
I shoot a lot of events and sports and am looking for a lens with a bit more reach. I currently have 2 Nikkor lenses (50mm f1.4 and 24-70 f2.8) as well as 2 Sigma lenses (12-24 and 70-200 f2.8) I've noticed that Sigma have released a 120-300 f2.8 lens, which with a 1.4 teleconverter would give approx 400 f4.There doesn't seem to be anything similar in the Nikkor range - apart from the $6k+ 200-400.Any thoughts or other ideas please?
