Recently watched and chatted to wedding photographer at my niece's wedding. His standard workhorse lens was the Nikon 24-70 f2.8, he also used the 14-24mm for more artistic/creative shots and used the 70-200 in the church and some outside…
For wedding you need high quality and my preference is for fast (f2.8 or lower)
My work horse when in a wedding is the 28-70 f2.8. my second choise is 70-200 f2.8 vr.
I love to shoot with my 85 f1.4 on FX.

Its looking that manfrotto may be the way to go. I am having that prob at the moment doug is that when you try and shoot a tall family you cant get the background to go high enough. I may need a middle one aswell. Any idea on how hihg they go?
While there are sturdy stands around from manufacturers other than Manfrotto I am not a huge fan.
The Manfrotto stands are very well made with all components easily replaceable in the event something should break.
Of course breakages are much more…
