Either you and/or a friend moved quickly or that took more than one sparkler. Light painting is such fun to do - great fun esp on New Years Eve. Love the stars in the night sky!

Unfortunately down South their isn't a lot of choice - I use to support my local service photographic processors however, they are now few and far between. In fact that their is only one locally and while they are great service/relationship…

I would have said I started at the start of last year, but its 2010!! (I started at the start of 08 :P) ! Congrats on getting a wedding in such an early time period! I've mainly only done school photography and bits of uni, however you've got heaps of portfolios, its great!!!

I mainly started the opposite way, I liked photoshop very much and loved the physics behind cameras, so thats how I got into it :), but I soon learned that its so much more satisfying taking a photo straight out of a camera without editing it and saying "hey, I took that!"

PS you're baby photos are fantastic :D

Believe me, you are not alone in this. I have often picked my own shots to pieces with horizon etc after the event. It is not always possible to do, but worthwhile keeping in mind, if you can remember in the spur of the moment. Still nice shots you have taken regardless.

Photos of musician are great, well exposed. Good variety too. Try and avoid the horizon or trees running through the head region. Some of the guy in the field would have been fantastic if you were a bit higher or lower. Also a change of objects directly behind the head should be avoided if at all possible

I know!!! :( Oh well, at least we get a refund >.>

I only entered 1, since I was feeling poor (and I though origionally it was $20 for unlimited entries, not $20 for 1 entry :P) , I tried to go for a 'fringe' type theme, Garden of Unearthly Delights, Pupperty (Havent' actually finished that one), One about a different world / window type thing, Haven't uploaded the last 2...

Hi Cheryl,
I run a company called Creative Photo Workshops and one of our courses is Wireless Flash. These are images from last Saturdays one. We are hoping to run some events for Photo Wholesalers this year in SA.

Hi Cheryl, My first pentax did not have metering until I bought the meter that clipped on the top I had 3 spotmatics which are now in South Africa. At APSCON at Coffs Harbour they were collecting old spotmatics to give to the natives to photograph Rhinos instead shooting them They are paying them for each photo. Hope they gave them longer lens than the 50mm my cameras had. I have the 50th annerversary model istD at the moment but hope to update in the near future to either a 200D or same as you. John
