Thanks for the info. I took some images on Thursday night, similar settings and lens but no tracking so had tiny star trails.

Sure, no problem, this is a tracked image (using home made tracking platform) , comprised of 10, 2.5minute exposures, taken near Mount Pleasant, South Australia. I took this using a Canon 400D, Canon 17-40mm lens @ 40mm, F5.6, ISO800. I stacked and…

The light at the time was less than ideal, I only took it because of the interesting cloud formation that was building up behind it. The JPEG out of the camera was very flat and boring and I have just started experimenting with curves in my processing to give some of my pics a bit of a lift. Wish I had shot it RAW.
