Thank you Stephen. I feel that sometimes photographers should evoke emotions that are sometimes not pleasant to look at. I think its our job to make the viewer aware of all the things that make up our world, not just the cutsie and pretty. Ugliness…

I had a couple of other pics on here but they have disturbed ppl so I have removed them. I guess I best stick to pretty and socially acceptable pics for this site.. if these pics offend please tell me and i shcall remove them too

Thanks all. No Stephen thats as i took it I had a shallow DOF and the bird is in a cage at thr gorge wildlife park. The background just turned out like that. Its actually one of the off shots that looks better printed then on here. I am having it…

- Hi Alf, Have posted that pic of the bridge at night. It's amazing how different light can give the same structure a completely different feel. If ever you feel like doing a night shoot in town I would be more than happy to team up with you or others as there is saftey in numbers.

I like the type of photos you take- and the simplicity of some of them.
It's such a joy to capture those special moments isn't it !
I'm also new- I used to be close to a competent amature /semi pro about ten years ago - But I've lost touch whilst the technology was changing - and was never pleased with the emphasis on pixels away from lens quality.
At least we can have both now. I have invested in a Nikon 5000D a few weeks ago, and all of the sudden my old passion has re-ignited !
