Thanks Ace. I have a 100-400mm Canon lens. After flitting around for what seemed an eternity it finally, perched about 2.5 metres away. I probably cropped about 1/3 but it was all bokeh and twig, no detail.

Great composition - love the background (complements the bird and no sources of distraction here). Love to know how far away this bird was when you captured this and what lens you were using. Did you have to crop much?
