It's actually quite easy. Get a clean sheet/pane of glass and stand it on say soft drink cans or canned fruit (just to lift it off the table by 15-30cms). Place the wrapping paper on the table underneath the pane of glass. Then apply some water proofing material (I used Rain-X that is used to make water bead on car windscreens) to the glass so that water will bead up. I used a little eye-dropper to make lots of little drops of water. Experiment with lighting (I used some above the pane of glass and sometimes I have a side light on the background. Then take your close-up photos from above. Enjoy!
