Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone else has purchased a Canon 550D, I did 3 weeks ago, only to find out there is a fault in the RAW settings, everyone one of my photographs from a sydney wedding is corrupt.
My heart fell when I download the pics, luckily every second photo was the original...
The corrupt photograph is 1/3 of the photograph and in bright pink/black......
I have been communicating with shutterbug on the matter and they are dealing with Canon.
Just wondering if anyone else has come across this matter.
Unfortunately, the corrupt photograph is way too large to download, but will try and add one to my home page.....

   Cheers

I have attached a copy of the image so others can see. The only time I have seen anything like this has been from a corrupt memory card or a problem on the sensor. As it is not affecting all your images, I would rule out the sensor.

If you email a copy of the file to ian@photowholesalers.com.au, I can get Canon to analyse it, which should be able to tell us what is causing it.

Hi Ian,
Thanks for the response, I have used 2 brands of SD cards on the day, only did this happen on the RAW settings. I changed to medium settings after the ceremony, but at the same time was not aware of the problem, it was due to the fact I was going through SD cards at a fast rate.....
Currently Canon is looking at the matter through Shutterbug, I will post the results as soon as they come in....
Just curious when I posted this thread to see what other members thought of the matter.
I used the canon 550D today at another weddingm not using RAW settings, all photographs came out normal......
Interesting
Cheers
