just bought a dp1 and looking for other enthusiasts to share tips and tricks with.  Little P and S camera with a lot potential and a steep learning curve.  Maybe we could meet up in adelaide and take a few shots.

Hi

I have just come across this page so my replly is a bit late. In more ways than 1 - I have a DP2 and I was just thinking this morning about selling it.

I have loved it and hated it. Its such a pain to use and the auto focus is painful. I also have several other cameras so when it comes to taking a camera out, this one more often than not gets left behind now.

Its a shame because when I have used it I have loved the photos. There is something different about them and I really like it. There are all kinds of web forums and reviews that try to describe it. I don't really know what it is but it is very nice. All to do with the sensor etc as you know.

I am also trying to make something of my photography now and I can't afford to lose shots. With the dp2 I got some good ones but I missed many more because it is so hard to use and so slow.

I have got some really nice photos from it though. I have considered trying to get a sigma dslr to replace the dp2 in the hopew that I can get still get the shots but with a camera that is more useable for the kind of photos I take. I have seen the sd14 for less than $500. I might consider it...

Anyway, I hope you have had fun with your sigma. I am sure you ahve got some really good shots. Its a surprising little camera. A pain but very often worth it. Very surprising and I think underestimated. I wish I could be bothered to keep it...

hi Steve, funny enough my DP1 has decided to die (known issue with the early DP1 series).   How much are you asking for the DP2?

here is some of my better DP1 shots:

Andrew.

Some nice shots. Its surprising how sharp it can be. Under the right conditions its great.

Here's a couple I took with my dp2.

If you are interested in the dp2 I would be happy to consider whatever you think it is worth! Make me an offer!! I am sure we can come to some agreement.
