Planning is well under way for the Rotary Club of Millicent’s third Photographic Art Show.

Photographers from around the region and nationwide are now being invited to participate in the third Rotary Club of Millicent’s Photographic Art Show, as preparations for the event are well in hand. The event has five categories and prize money of $6,000 making it an event of National significance in photographic art.

Riding on the success of the 2010 and 2011 Photographic Art Shows, planning is well under way and with experience and knowledge gained, the Committee is confident the 2012 exhibition will exceed the 325 entries of 2011 and the event will continue to grow.

With major sponsors Infigen Energy, Wattle Range Council, Kimberly-Clark Aust. and Thompson Drilling all willing to support the event again, allowing the substantial prize pool for the chosen categories. Other sponsors include Fosters Foodland, Hamilton Hateley & Associates, Ocean Foods, DiGiorgio Wines, Millicent Print, Atkins Technicolour and Lonergan & Muhovics.

The 2012 exhibition is scheduled around the Easter period with the Opening Night at the Civic and Arts Centre, Millicent being on Friday 30^th March, 2012 and viewing closing on the 9^th April, 2012 (Easter Monday). All photographic art work is for sale throughout the viewing period.

The Rotary club is encouraging all local, State and National photographers and photographic clubs to start preparing their entries for the exhibition as entries close on February 29^th although photographs can be delivered to the Millicent Visitor Information Centre up until 20^th March.

Entry forms are available from the Rotary Website or the Wattle Range Council website as well as from the Millicent Public Library.
