PRINTWORKS Exhibition

In 1985, four South Australian amateur photographers, who were all actively exhibiting prints in national exhibitions, met to discuss the potential benefits of collectively sending their work to international exhibitions. Out of that meeting evolved “Printworks”, a collective dedicated to making and entering both monochrome and colour prints in international exhibitions. Over the last 25 years, the membership of the group has grown and changed, but only one of the founding members remains actively involved. Many prominent amateur South Australian print
workers have been members of the group at various times, and its current membership is a roll call of some of the most successful amateur photographers in this state. The current members are:

Collectively, the group has been awarded two Gold Medals as one of the most successful Print clubs in the Austrian Super Circuit, probably the largest international salon in the world, and was the top Australian club in the 2008 Vigex international. Individual members have received many medals and other awards in international salons.
